President – Brenda Boyles (bboyles@cabarrusbaptist.com): Brenda is the daughter of a Baptist Minister who had a great impact on her life. At the age of six she made the choice to follow Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. She is an active member of Pitts Baptist Church, serving on the Women’s Ministry Leadership team, choir member, and desires to do more in the ministry of her church.

Brenda has served in several churches as pianist/organist. She has served on Mission Teams, and other Ministry Teams within the church and Cabarrus Baptist Association, and served as secretary/treasurer for NCBSA 2006-2007.

Brenda has been married 38 years to her husband Don, a Godly, loving and caring man. They were never blessed with children but have a beautiful cat Abigail (Abby) who keeps them laughing at the unending gifts she has waiting for them each morning when they awake. Even though they have no children Brenda is an adopted grandmother to 5 year old Lacie Wadford.

Hobbies are crafts, flower arranging, decorating, and cooking (when time permits).

Brenda has been blessed to serve on staff at Cabarrus Baptist Association since 1998, and completed the Professional Certification for Ministry Assistants.

Brenda’s desire is to serve God and fulfill her responsibilities by living a joy filled life of complete dependence on Him and reaching out to others with love, compassion and understanding.

President Elect – Nancy Evans (sandycreekassn@windstream.net) - Sandy Creek Baptist Association – Sanford, NC: Nancy grew up in the small town of Ramseur, NC. A Godly neighbor was faithful to take her to church every Sunday. She praises God for that lady. Nancy gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 12. She attends Fellowship Baptist Church in Siler City and has served in various capacities.

Nancy has been on several mission trips and is certified in the Disaster Recovery Ministry for the NC Baptist Men.

God has blessed Nancy with the honor of serving Him as Administrative Assistant at the Sandy Creek Baptist Association since February, 2003. She also completed the Professional Certification for Ministry Assistants in 2003. She serves as Clerk of the Association.

Nancy has been married to her supporting husband, Bob Evans, for 43 years. They have two married children, Tonya who is 41 and Chad who is 37. They each have a girl and boy, ages ranging from 5 to 12.

Her desire is to step out of her comfort zone and allow God to use and mold her into the daughter He deems fitting. With God nothing is impossible.

Second Vice President (Two Year Term)Diane Rowell (office@centralbaptistkannapolis.com): Diane went to Central Baptist in Kannapolis as a temporary secretary in January 2002 and never left. Working at Central is the perfect job for her because she loves people and enjoys serving them. She has a servant’s heart and is blessed when an opportunity arises to serve. Diane believes that everything we do should reflect our desire to see those who are lost turn their lives over to Jesus.

Diane was born in Charlotte, NC and gave her heart to Jesus as a young child. After accepting Jesus as her Savior, her heart’s desire was to work for God in the ministry. In 1978 she met and married David and they became Pastors of their first church in New Bern, NC.

They have two precious children - Erika who is 27 and Kamden who is 3. (You read that right. She started her family over when they got full custody of her great-nephew when he was four weeks old.)

Diane’s hobby is raising Kamden.

Secretary/Treasurer – Trish Church (ashebaptist@yahoo.com) - Ashe Baptist Association — Jefferson, NC: Trish accepted the Lord as her personal Savior in February of 1997. As a fairly new Follower of Christ, God called her into ministry in February of 2001. She is thankful to Him each day for her ministry within the Association. Over the past 12 years a part-time position as secretary has evolved into full-time Ministry Assistant / Associational Treasurer. Trish loves to go to work everyday and she counts it an honor and privilege to serve the Lord with the gifts and talents He has given her.

Trish and her husband Billy have been married 18 years and have two teenage children, a 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter, so life is never boring with a whirlwind of activity going on all the time.

Trish loves working with children and feels most content when teaching children about Jesus. She has served in many roles in the church from Children's Director to Assistant Treasurer. Recently the Lord has been redirecting her path and she looks forward to seeing where He will lead her to serve Him next.

In Trish’s spare time she loves gardening, kayaking, and canoeing. Trish is an 8 year survivor of stage 3 breast cancer! God taught her through her battle with cancer that He truly IS in control and that life is a precious gift He gives us. Trish’s life verse is "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
